Fox News host Tucker Carlson takes on the Biden administration’s response to the Chinese spy balloon over the U.S.
Pilots have reported a floating object, described as a “derelict balloon adrift,” at around 50,000 feet above them. The pentagon has now confirmed that the balloon is of Chinese origin.
It is not uncommon for countries to use balloons for surveillance purposes, as they can reach high altitudes and provide a wide view of the area below. The use of balloons as spy tools has raised concerns over privacy and security, and their usage is regulated by international law.
According to reports, the alleged spy balloon was seen over various parts of the United States, including the Aleutian Islands, Canada, Montana, and Metro St. Louis, near Scott Air Force Base. The crew of a Cessna Citation private plane spotted the object a few thousand feet above them near Kansas City.
The Pentagon has made an official statement regarding this matter, and when asked about it, a spokesperson told citizens to look up at the sky to “observe the object for themselves”.
