The developed world is shocked at how elections are run in the U.S.

Americans are unaware that their election system is among the most insecure among the industrialized nations. Europeans are shocked when they learn how unsafe it is. They are even more disturbed that the lack of election integrity appears to be by design. While Europeans are somewhat bemused by the election chaos in America, details of how the system works – or doesn’t work – are creating shockwaves. Things that are taken for granted by most political affiliations elsewhere are highly disputed in America.
